Monday: 6:30 - 7:30 PM, and 7:30 - 8:00 PM optional practice
Wednesday: 6:30 - 7:30 PM
Saturday: 9:30 - 10:30 AM (meditation optional 9:00 - 9:30 AM)
Fee is $70 for 7 weeks
Aikido is the art of nonaggressive self-defense, based on flowing with attacks and dissipating aggression. Training is cooperative and includes the use of staff and sword.
Zazen (sitting meditation) is optional for students from 9:00 - 9:30 AM on Saturdays only.
Japanese Swordsmanship - Iaido
April 13 - May 28, 2022
Wednesday: 7:30 - 8:30 PM
Saturday: 8:00 - 9:00 AM (meditation optional 9:00 - 9:30 AM)
Fee is $60 for 7 weeks
Iaido is a non-contact art. This class focuses on the basics of the Japanese art of Iaido. Training is in both contemporary and traditional Japanese sword forms. Students use an iaito (unsharpened sword - must be approved by instructor) or bokken (wooden sword). Swords are provided for beginners.
Zazen (sitting meditation) is optional for students from 9:00 - 9:30 AM on Saturdays only.
